Math can be fun ya know

So for Math we have learnt Bedmas, integers, and fractions. I used Bedmas in this video and did two examples of it,  here ya go, it's just down there, just click on it and it will play. Sorry about the terrible audio quality Chromebook microphone.

chromatography part 2

we have done an experiment to separate pigmentation via chromatography

last week we used leaves and that experiment failed due to many possible problems like amount of pigmentation etc we used leaves as the solute and ethanol as the solvent

this week we have used water soluble markers as the solute and used the water as the solvent

the cause of the pigments to separate is because the different pigments have different weights so some can move faster than others with the same amount of force being applied to said pigments therefore separation of the colours because they are being moved with the same force but different weights

here is an image of our results

distillation and evaporation

aim: the aim of the experiment was to explain separation via evaporation our goal was to be able to explain distillation via evaporation by evaporating coke or diet coke

on Wednesday the 14th we ran an experiment to separate sugar from coke/diet coke via evaporation here are some images

result my group got one of the best result the results were the coke evaporated and re-liquefied into the water leaving the solid sugar behind

conclusion the conclusion is that the sugar was left behind when the water and syrup was melted and then evaporated the solute was the sugar and the solvent was the syrup and water

dilution series

the aim of this experiment was to investigate concentration and dilution

see images below for observation of the dilution experiment
