  1. who is allowed to speak?: the "dentist"
  2. what kind of language is used in this text?: it uses medical speak to make it sound better and more professional
  3. who is missing from this text?: the actual customers or professionals who understand how it works
  4. what does the author want you to know?: that sensodyne work to harden and strengthen your enamel to protect your teeth

questions for palmolive ad
  1. what kind of social realities does the text portray?: it portrays that most girls like their hair nicely kept and not all messy
  2. whose views are excluded or privileged in this text?: we only see girls in this ad and so we don't get the views of guys 
  3. who is missing from this text?: guys are completely missing even though it would also help guys with hair on the longer side keep it manageable
  4. what different interpretations of this text are possible?: "girls will spend hundreds of dollars for just some dumb shampoo" "some girl will break their combs after watching this add and it might not even work like it says it does"
drakes god's plan video questions
  1. who benefits from this text?: everyone in the video
  2. what is the text about? how do you know?: it's about drake donating his money to help others get onto their feet and we know this because he donates almost a million dollars to communities
  3. what views of the world is the text presenting?: that even rich people can do a-lot for "poor people" even though we see rich people as snobs who just think badly of the poor
  4. who is allowed to speak?: everyone in the video speaks at least a little so we almost never hear nobody not speak
theseus and the minotaur questions

  1. what kinds of social realities does this text portray?: we often deceive and lie to people to help ourselves get out of terrible situations
  2. what has been left out of the text?: the other boys that king Minos had taken to feed the Minotaur never get heard from and we also never get told about them other than that they're noble
  3. what genre does this text belong to?: fantasy, Greek mythology, legend
  4. how would the text be different if it were told in another time place or culture?: the monster location and people would be different and it would have other cultural nuances
