social studies: DNA test: yes or no? paragraph draft

paragraph plan

  1. state point of view
  2. state some positives
  3. state at least one possible negative

If I had the choice I would like to take a DNA test as I think that it would be helpful to know more about where i'm from, I would also like to know some facts that I didn't know about myself like where my fathers parents are from or where my grandparents are from in general I know that some people think that people are using DNA tests to steal personal information but I find that unlikely as the DNA testing companies usually aren't part f the government so they couldn't get your personal information, so in conclusion I would take a DNA test as the positives outweigh the possible negatives

have you ever thought that abortion should be illegal? in Neal Shushterman's 'Unwind' in a world where instead of abortion you can have your child unwound from the ages 13 to 18 three teens have to stand together in a world that wants to divide them literally and figuratively. a memorable idea from this text is that of abortion/unwinding some memorable parts of the story that use this idea is when we see that there are people helping people stay whole, next when we get to go into a harvest camp where people are unwound, and finally when we go through the unwinding of a character. These are memorable to the reader as these points show that unwinding is common place but there are people who don't agree with the norm

PEEL
topic: video games are better than sports

whilst many people believe that sports are better than video games this statement is clearly false as there are many more types of video games than there are for sports

before you start to ask questions, I will explain there's many types of games adventure games puzzle games look at stuff to get a story games action games first person shooters or FPS' role playing games or RPGs so many types of games yet there are very few types of sports. quickly moving on, video games are better than sports because you can be anyone you want you can be a person in a hulking mech or a simple farmer you can help prevent the genocide of an entire planet's population or you could take care of virtual pets, and you can usually nowadays customise your character to look how you want. Compared to sports where you need to constantly train and make sure you aren't injured to play competitively, all you need in video games is some free time everyday and to develop muscle memory and memorise the buttons.

and those are some reasons why video games are better than sports
