students being addicted to their phones
Many students are addicted to their phones and it may or may not cause problems it depends on how much the student uses their phone. If it’s rarely then there’s no real issue but if it’s common that the student is on their phone without permission then it’s a problem. About 50% of young people are addicted to their phones. Many students completely disregard teachers instructions and instead use their phone for their own amusement using things like games, social media, and messaging apps. This could be taken as the students not wanting to learn but it could be blamed to many adults saying for kids to keep in touch with friends and the addictive nature of some games like Candy crush. There are other reasons for students to be ‘addicted’ to their phones like they are expecting a text or message from a family member or are worried about someone who’s in the hospital. This can be interpreted as being on your phones can be both negative and positive in some cases it distracts us from the task at hand, and in others it helps us communicate and sometimes focus on learning.

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
